Chocolate hazelnut cake recipe

I made this delicous cake for my mother’s birthday and it turned out so good, so I had to share the recipe with you. 🙂The cake is oil free, raffinated sugar free & can be made gluten free.


  • 150 g oat flour (just blend the oats in a blender)
  • 150 g buckwheat flour
  • 1 smashed banana
  • 2 tsp grounted flax seeds
  • 8 tbsp hazelnut butter
  • 60 g coconut sugar
  • 4 tbsp cacao powder
  • 8 tbsp agave syrup
  • 350 ml oat milk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla

For the chocolate mousse:

  • 2 avocados
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 4 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 60 ml plant milk
  • 4 tbsp Agave syrup
  1. Mix the smashed banana with the flax seeds, hazelnut butter, agave syrup & vanilla together.
  2. In another bowl put the oat and buckwheat flour, coconut sugar, baking powder & cacao powder.
  3. Then add the wet ingredients to the try ingredients and slowly add the oat milk. Mix it together until everything is well combined.
  4. Put the mixture in a round baking tin and bake it at 180 degree Celsius for about 35-45 minutes.
  5. For the chocolate mousse blend all the ingredients together & put it in the fridge for at least two hours or even better over night.
  6. When the cake is cooled down you can put the chocolate mousse on top of the cake and to make it look even prettier you can also top the cake with some fresh berries.
